It’s been a minute since our last check-in, but that doesn’t mean things have been quiet. In fact, 2025 has been one of the most action-packed years yet for the Vanguard community. From VIP playtest weekends and deeper combat iterations, to concept reveals and expanded lore drops, the momentum hasn’t let up. We’ve seen more Founders than ever hop into the fray, helping us shape everything from weapon iterations to drop pods. The Discord has been buzzing with feedback, fan creations, and even some spicy lore debates (you know who you are). Whether it’s the return of Q&A sessions, the launch of our official podcast, or the rollout of the VIP testing waves, this year has been stacked, and it’s all thanks to you. So let’s dig into the highlights so far!
FIRESIDE CHAT
We kicked off the year with a Fireside Chat in the Vanguard Discord, featuring a crew of CCP devs diving deep into the journey so far. From the days of First Strike and Solstice, right through to Groundbreak. There were juicy insights, vision talk for the future of EVE Vanguard, and even a spontaneous Q&A.

A huge thanks to our Founders for helping us lock in the perfect name for the podcast and for supporting the launch of our very first episode! In this debut episode, we tackled some of the hottest topics lighting up the Discord, such as Weapons & Combat.

DISCORD QNA’s RETURN!
After the success of last year’s Q&A sessions, we knew we had to bring them back. And what better way to do it than with the release of our first podcast episode? We opened up the Q&A submissions channel in Discord to give you—our players—the chance to fire off your burning questions about Weapons & Combat. The VIP group has been an essential part of our development process, providing valuable feedback, assisting with internal testing, squashing bugs, and making their voices heard in focus groups.
